Brianna Prather

Brianna grew up in the Ozarks with a lifelong passion for horses. She began riding as a young girl on her family’s horses, inspired by her older sister’s dedication and determination. Following in her sister’s footsteps, Brianna worked tirelessly toward a dream she could only imagine — owning a horse of her own. That dream became a reality when she got Raindrop, a spirited chestnut Quarter Horse who would become her greatest teacher. The early years were full of challenges — hard falls, long hours, and even a broken wrist — but Brianna’s determination never wavered. Her commitment to learning, caring for, and understanding horses only grew stronger.

That same work ethic soon opened new doors. Brianna became an assistant coach in a local dressage and jumper program, marking her transition from the western world she’d grown up in to the precision and artistry of English riding. Balancing college courses with 6 a.m. lessons and long weekends at the barn, she immersed herself fully in the discipline of dressage.

Her dedication led her across the country to Washington State, where she worked under international dressage trainer Jennifer Williams, advancing from groom to assistant trainer while gaining experience at top-level competitions. Later, Brianna joined Olympian Kelly Layne in Wellington, Florida, as an assistant trainer — a dream opportunity that further deepened her knowledge of high-performance horses and world-class training.

Now, as the founder of Brianna Prather Dressage Academy, she brings that same passion, discipline, and hands-on expertise to riders of all levels. She’s dedicated to creating a training environment rooted in exceptional care, clear communication, and the belief that both horse and rider can grow together through patience, consistency, and trust.
